Joseph Scott Cortez, 41, of Chelmsford, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Joe was born on April 2, 1980, he was the son of Ronald Henry Millette of Lowell, and the late Karen J. (Cortez) Millette. He grew up in Chelmsford, attended the local schools as well as Nashoba Valley Technical High School.
He was a longtime resident of Chelmsford, and he enjoyed fixing and repairing things, as well as spending time on ATV’s, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. Joe especially enjoyed dirt bikes. He was a jack of all trades, and worked in many fields including Landscaping, Plumbing and HVAC to name a few.
He is survived by his longtime partner Kerianne Rouleau of Chelmsford, his children, Travis Cortez of Lowell, Liam Cortez of Lowell, and Summer Cortez of Chelmsford, his friend, and Travis and Liam’s mother Sarabeth Ness of Lowell; his father Ronald Millette and his girlfriend Susan Carroll of Chelmsford, his uncle Rick Cortez of Chelmsford, and also his step siblings, Bonnie, Tracy, Kelsey and Billy.
He is predeceased by his mother Karen (Cortez) Millette, and his grandfather Ludgerio “Luke” Cortez.
