Charles A. Moore 88, of Needham formerly of Wakefield, died on Thursday April 27, 2006 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. Born in Boston Mr. Moore spent his earlier years in Wakefield. During WWII he served with the U.S. Navy. For many years Mr. Moore was a manager from New England Life Insurance Company. He married Anne M. (Leahy) in 1979 and has resided in Needham for the past 27 years. Charlie was well known in Needham where he delivered flowers for McIntosh Florist until the flower shop was sold. He was also a former College Umpire. Charlie was the beloved husband of Anne M (Leahy) and the late Dorothy (Andrews) Moore. Loving father of Tony Moore of St. Joseph, Michigan, Terry Gilman of Needham, Nancy Pennington of Marlboro, Polly Gilman of Needham, Dr. Eric “Rick” Moore of Westerly, RI, Lynne Allard of Hampton, NH, Janet Frechette of Stoneham, Patricia Biagoni of Medford and Scot Moore of Melrose. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral From the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday May 1st at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 3-6 PM. Interment services with Military Honor will be held at Needham Cemetery.
