Mildred Bryant Hobbs, 85, of Tifton, Georgia, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 1, 2006, at Brushy Creek Church Cemetery in Irwin County, with Rev. Jimmy Hinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00, Sunday evening, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Hobbs was born December 1, 1920, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late James R. and Mattie Ellen Roberts Bryant. She lived in Tifton since 1955 from Ocilla, graduating from Irwinville High School in 1937. Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church in Tifton.
She is survived by her children: Garry (Willene) Hobbs of Tifton, Calvin (Tammy) Hobbs of Lenox, Brenda (Jarrell) Cooper of Camilla and Kyle (Kathy) Hobbs of Norman Park; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hobbs was preceded in death by her husband, Brown Lee Hobbs, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
