Obituary

Florence Ann Krakofsky, 63, of Wilmington, Ma, passed away on February 14th peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Florence grew up in South Boston, MA where she owned and operated her own hair salon for over 25 years in the heart of Southie right on Broadway. She loved what she did and she used to always say being a hairdresser was more like being a therapist, a friend and a confidant for those that sat in her chair. She absolutely adored what she did and she did it well.

Florence was the second youngest of 5 brothers and sisters. She was tough, smart, incredibly strong and extremely hard working. She was strikingly beautiful inside and out.

She had an unwavering loyalty to her family.

She was no stranger to working hard and she did everything for her family. After she turned in the keys to her own salon after nearly two decades she not only began working at another hair salon but she also started working at a daycare and received every certificate imaginable so she could be the very best there was at it. That’s just how she was. She worked hard at everything she did and have it her all. She was overjoyed to get the chance to work with the kids at the daycare and she did so until she couldn’t any longer.

She loved a good book, a good show and sharing stories of her family history. She was so very proud of her Armenian Heritage. She talked often about her ancestors and their history and what they went through to get to where they landed.

She loved to cook and looked forward to Sunday dinners and meals with her kids and nieces and grandkids. She was an excellent cook and a great baker as well.

Her grandchildren, Gabriel and Greyson lit up her world.

Florence will be remembered most of all by those who loved her as someone with an unmatched work ethic, a beautiful heart underneath her tough exterior and as someone who would do anything for those she loved.

Florence was predeceased by her parents Albert & Elizabeth Danieli. She leaves behind her son Michael and his girlfriend Alicia and her son Stephen Krakofsky, her two grandsons Gabriel & Greyson Krakofsky, her sister Donna Sheridan and brother in law Larry Sheridan of Claremont, NH her brother Larry Danielle and his partner Sheryl Sarkis, her her sister Toni and brother in law Rusty Herron of Brockton, Ma and her brother David Danieli of Norwood. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, loved ones and family members who will hold her in their hearts always.

Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 12-3 PM. Interment services will be private.
