ANDRUS M. WYCKOFF
Andrus M. Wyckoff, age 77, of 4 Amberly Lane, Niantic, formerly of Cape Cod, MA died Wednesday morning at Mariner Healthcare at Pendleton in Mystic after an extended illness.
Mr. Wycloff was born in East Haven, CT on October 20, 1924 the son of Andrus M . and Katherine (Conrad) Wyckoff.
He was a graduate of Mattituck, NY High School and joined the US Navy in 1943 serving aboard the USS Malloy.
Mr. Wyckoff later attended Clarkson University where he graduated in 1953 with a mechanical engineering degree.
Prior to his retirement, he enjoyed a 35-year career with Hamilton-Standard Company.
He was a member of the Suffield, CT Masonic Lodge, and served as past President of the Bloomfield Civilan Club. he was also a member of the HECH organization, the Brewster, MA Baptist Church, and the Wyckoff Family Association.
He is survived by his wife Madelyn (Haskell) Wyckoff of Niantic, 3 daughters, Andrea Nilson of North Stonington, Lisa Nilson of Granby, and Jill Laird of San Clemente, CA; 2 grandaughters Alyssa Nilson and Megan Nilson, a niece and 2 nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at South Church, at Rtes. 10& 202, Granby on Wednesday, Aug. 7th at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. For directions, please call the church at 860-653-7289.
Private interment with military honors will be at Bourne National Cemetery on Cape Cod. There are no visiting hours.
