Mrs. Eleanor M. (Brick) Purcell of Nashua, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, died at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Purcell.
Mrs. Purcell was born in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, on December 16, 1915, a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Boudreau) Brick.
Mrs. Purcell was the loving mother of Robert and his wife Lorainne Gennell, Sr. of Dracut, Massachusetts and Carol Buss of Nashua, New Hampshire, with whom she resided. She was the cherished grandmother of Robert and his wife Sandy Gennell, Jr., of Londonderry, New Hampshire, John and his wife Lisa Gennell of Methuen and Eric and his wife Mel Gennell of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Devoted sister-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. D. Harold Sullivan of Andover. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mildred (Brick) Poltras.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends attended. Calling hours were in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Monday, April 3, 2006, from 9 to 10 AM. Burial was held in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
