
John O. Lima. Age 86. Residence 1748 Highland Ave., formerly of 2046 No. Main St., Fall River, Ma. and Swansea Mall Dr., Swansea, MA. Died Wednesday at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of the late Antone Lima and the late Joanna (Silva) Lima. He was a Fall River resident until 2004. He spent 7 years in Swansea then back to Fall River, MA. He retired as a Machinist from Electric Boat in R.I. Lastly, he worked at Raytheon in Dighton, MA. He was a member of the Border City Club. He was a former member of St. Michael Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II and a member of the Seabeeās.
He is survived by One Niece: Evelyn Silva of Fall River, MA. Two Grandnieces: Rosemary Hall and Lynne Rudolph. One Grandnephew: Frank Oliveira. Several Great Nieces and Nephews. He was also brother of the late Manuel and Antone Lima, Mary Oliveira, & Lillian Moniz.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, Ma. on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
