David S. Kenny, age 58, of Sharon, MA passed away unexpectedly January 29th. Born and raised in Schenectady, NY, he graduated from Colonie Central High School in Colonie, NY. He went on to graduate from SUNY Oneonta and received his MBA from Babson College. He worked as an Assistant Vice President at AMICA Insurance in Lincoln, RI. Dave was a Genealogy buff and was a member of the Rhode Island Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and served as a docent at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. Dave did a year abroad in England while in college, a life-changing and wonderful experience for him. He enjoyed traveling, especially to England, Ireland, Scotland, and anywhere in coastal Maine. He was a Boston Red Sox fan, was an avid reader, enjoyed historical documentaries, and adored going out for a good meal. He also loved dogs, especially his faithful companion Glinda.
Beloved husband of Susan R. Cohen Kenny. Step-father of Adam Weiss of Sharon, Emmett Weiss of N.Y.C., and Elizabeth Weiss of New Haven, CT. Son of Dorothy Kenny of Schenectady, NY and the late David Kenny. Brother of Michael Kenny of Albany and Chris Snyder and her husband Charlie of Scotia, NY. Funeral services will be private, and the family will be sitting Shiva via zoom on Saturday, February 5th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm and Sunday, February 6th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Donations may be made in his memory to the John F.
