Obituary

Jack L. Meyer, 89, of Anderson, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 following an extended illness.
He was born on May 8, 1932 in Jasper, the son of Fred and Helen Meyer. He served in the US Marines during the Korean War and worked for General Motors, retiring from Fisher Guide. One of his passions following retirement was buying and remodeling homes on the west side of Anderson and turning them into rentals. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles 1771 Alexandria. Jack also enjoyed line dancing, and spending time with his family. He was a very hard working man.
Jack is survived by his wife of 41 years, Darlene (Hutcheson) Meyer; five children, Jack W. Meyer and Stan Meyer both of Houston, TX, Rockie (Beth) Ebbert of Elwood; Rick Ebbert of Middletown, and Lesley Berryman of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; Brandon Meyer, Jacob Meyer, John Meyer, Cody Mumbower, Conor Ring, Nikki Ring, Josie Parke, Harley (Emily) Parke, Grant Ebbert, Mason Ebbert, Michael Ebbert; two great grandchildren, Carson Tucker and Lucy Parke; brother, Jim (Betty) Meyer.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William; Sister, Mary Ann Barkley and two sons, Steven and Robert Meyer and beloved pet Snuggles.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 1-2 PM on Thursday, prior to the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson’s Disease research.
