Obituary



Worcester – Steven E. Boisclair Sr., 75, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022 with his children by his side after a brief illness.

Steve was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Edmond T. and Dorothy A. (Sturtevant) Boisclair. He graduated from South High School and lived in Worcester most of his life. He was a life-long, hard-working man, retiring in 2015 after working for 25 years as a maintenance engineer and key master for the Grafton Job Corps.

Steve was an avid coin and train collector. He enjoyed camping with his kids, going to flea markets, and taking day trips. He was truly the happiest when he was spending time with his family and storytelling with his grandchildren.

Steve leaves his legacy of love and stories to his six children, eleven grandchildren and their families. He is survived by his daughter Michele Couture, son-in-law Robert of Worcester, and their children Justin, Amanda Couture and her fiance Josh Terceira; his daughter Traci Novak, son-in-law Michael of Charlton, and their children Sydni, Greta and Zeno Novak; his daughter Kimberly Boisclair of Worcester, with whom he lived; his son Steven Boisclair Jr., daughter-in-law Pamela of Worcester, and their children Dylan Doucimo and Brooklyn Boisclair; his daughter Ashley Maki of Worcester and her daughters Lilly Powers and Lia Thomas-Flanders; and his daughter Amber Barrows, son-in-law Scott of Shrewsbury, and their children Weston and Baby Boy Barrows arriving in July. Steve also leaves his brother, Ronald Boisclair of Dudley; his nephews Philip and Eric Boisclair, as well as a great nephew, Cole.

In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by a brother, Philippe Boisclair and a nephew, Christopher.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 27, from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a prayer service to be held at 7 PM. Private entombment will take place in Saint John’s Mausoleum, Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Steve may be made to Shriner’s Children, 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104 or to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
