Robert F. Watrous, (Pops), 86, of Groton passed away on January 20. 2022 after a brief illness with his wife of 63 years, Janice, by his side.
He leaves behind his son, Robert Jr. and wife Kimmie, along with his 3 daughters Sheril Gibson and husband Lloyd, Robin Watrous, and Katherine Hinman and husband Dewey. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Throughout Bob's life, he enjoyed playing pool, going to the gym and his beloved Red Sox. Bob had the gift of gab and never met a stranger he couldn't talk to, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
His family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, followed by a celebration of life at Christopher's Cafe. Masks are required. Burial will be private for the family.
