Shirley Ann (Lindquist) Svenson passed away on January 20, 2022. She was 85 years old.
Born in Malden, Shirley was a lifelong resident of the city. Shirley had worked as a charge nurse and loved working with elderly people. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Shirley was a proud grandmother who loved Bingo and Foxwoods but hated the telephone.
Shirley was the beloved mother of Diana Burns of Stoneham, Cheryl Lundstrom and her husband James of FL, Mark Spignesi of Middleton and Eric Svenson and his wife Danielle of Middelton. She was the dear sister of Paul Lindquist, Frank Lindquist and his wife Diane and the late Rosemary Murphy and her surviving spouse Jim. Shirley was the cherished grandmother of Sarah and James Lundstrom, Nicholas O’Brien, Jonathan and Matthew Svenson, Michael McCormick and Andrea Cunningham and the great-grandmother of Melanie.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street Malden on Thursday, January 27th at 11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 26th from 4-7pm. Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
