Obituary

Jay Robert Carmichael of Westport, MA, born in Fall River on April 11, 1942 passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital on Thursday, January 20, 2022 after courageously battling a long illness. Jay is survived by his beautiful, loving wife Sharon Vermette Carmichael, married for almost 60 years, along with their 5 children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister, several cousins, as well as his lifetime friend James Butler, Sr. of Westport. Jay worked as a craftsman carpenter all his life where his work was respected and admired. Jay enjoyed puttering in his garage, playing cards, riding his motorcycle and lawnmower, helping others whenever possible, country music, feeding the birds on his deck and playing with his dogs. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him as Mr. C.

To honor Jay's wishes there will be no calling hours.
