Obituary

Leonard H. “Pat” Westbrook, 79, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died April 23 at the Guardian Center in Brockton after a long illness. He was the husband of Marion H. (Hickerson) Westbrook. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. He also was a graduate of Wilson College in Boston. Mr. Westbrook was a resident of Stoughton since 1962. Mr. Westbrook worked as an X-Ray Technician at the Brookline Hospital for 24 years and then at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton for 15 years. He retired in 1992. He was a member of the Stoughton Civil Defense and the Jack & Jill of America Association. A Ham Radio Operator, he enjoyed photography, playing guitar and working in his yard. He was an accomplished handyman and also enjoyed martial arts.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Joan E. Westbrook of Stoughton and Joyce E. Westbrook of Brockton. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Leon. He is also survived by his grandson George L. Gilmer.

Funeral Service will be held from the First United Methodist Church, 103 Pleasant St., Stoughton, on Thursday, April 27 at 11 AM. Visiting hours prior to service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Donations in Pat’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, 02472.
