Obituary

Donna M. Kelly who resided in Brockton, Ma but was a long-time resident of Jamaica Plain passed away after her long battle with Dementia. Donna was the daughter of the late Jennie MacMaster and Bruce MacMaster, and sister to her late Brother Gerald Marshman. Donna is survived by her husband Kevin Kelly, siblings: Caroline (Marshman) Macheskey, Marjorie (Marshman) Barros, Lloyd (Sonny) Marshman, Michael Marshman, Bruce MacMaster, and many nieces and nephews. Donna did not have any biological children, but her nieces considered her to be a mother figure and protector. She will be remembered fondly for the many days spent at the beach in Duxbury Ma. making memories with her husband, nieces, and friends. Donna will be missed dearly by her sister who, during her illness, spent afternoons and weekends playing cards with her. Donna worked at the MSPCA for many years as she was a huge animal lover. As her illness progressed her love for animals remained, especially when she saw her niece’s chihuahua Nina, it always brought her joy. Donna also enjoyed working at the Arch Diocese of Boston and continued to attend mass until the Sunday before her passing. Donna was a quiet person but made a great impact on many of us and will be missed by her family and friends and remembered with great affection. Donna loved the music group Tavares and especially the song “Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel”.... and now heaven has gained an angel.
