Obituary

MEREDITH---- Roxanne Frick Del Frari, 67, of Windsong Place, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Roxanne was born on September 11, 1954, in York, PA, the daughter of the late J. Lavere Frick and Romaine (Fitzkee) Frick.

Roxanne earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1976, teaching children with special educational needs in central Pennsylvania, followed by the Overbrook School for the Blind. In 1984, Roxanne earned her Masters Degree as part of the first class in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She worked as a preschool and elementary education consultant in the Lakes Region area until joining the Sant Bani school community in Sanbornton, NH, where she worked for 25 years until retiring from education as a para-educator in the Inter-Lakes School District.

Roxanne loved so many things. She enjoyed art, drawing pictures, knitting and hand-sewing quilts for family. Her eye for patterns and details helped her and Paul build their own home in 1985 and she was always the family navigator. She played the piano, sang in choruses and enjoyed playing the violin with her friends. She loved her garden and indoor plants, baking bread, hiking in the woods, and counting frogs and birds with the endangered wildlife program and NH Audubon Society. But most of all Roxanne loved her family. She loved laughing. She was a quiet listener and a great advice giver and a wonderful wife, sister, friend, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She is so loved and missed.

Roxanne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Paul Del Frari of Meredith; son, Benjamin Del Frari and his wife, Melanie of East Corinth, VT; daughter, Fiana Del Frari Shaw and her husband, Michael of Bedford, NH; brother, John Frick and his wife, Sharon of Gilmanton, NH; niece Kelley Frick Pendleton and her husband Nate, of McKinney, TX, her late sister Joan DeBakey and late brother-in-law, Michel DeBakey, and her nephew Michael DeBakey and his wife Carina DeBakey of Lancaster, PA.
