Obituary

Henry F. Clark, 74, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022, at home with his life partner, Eileen Searles, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alfreda (Cowan) Clark.

He was a graduate of Brockton High School and worked for UPS for many years as diesel mechanic and then as district manager before starting his own business, B & C Automotive Repair on Pearl Street, in Brockton.

Henry was a member of several organizations, including the Old Colony Power Squadron, Wheels of Time Massachusetts, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Mr. Clark was a hardworking person, managed his own mechanic business, and was a “jack of all trades”. He was very talented with rebuilding and restoring classic cars and could fix anything. Henry was a strong willed and opinionated person who cared deeply about his family. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved all things related to boats and cars, especially Corvettes. You could often find him socializing as he always had a friend wherever he went. He loved talking to anyone including strangers. An avid collector of “treasures”, pawn shops and yard sales were just a few places you could find him. He spent summers in Swift’s Beach in Wareham with his family, loved going to Aruba and going on cruises.

Besides his life partner, Eileen, he leaves his children, Michelle M. Masi, and her husband, David, of Taunton, Elizabeth A. Langston, of Newton, and Michael P. Clark, and his wife, Rebecca, of North Attleboro; two stepdaughters, Amanda Searles and her partner Michael Camara, and Heather Searles, both of Brockton; five grandchildren, Thomas Clark, Makayla Masi, Brianna Masi, Chase Langston, and Isla Kate Clark; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Joseph, Robert, and Fred Clark, Virginia Murdoch, and Janice Militello.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Henry’s family on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment in Coweeset Cemetery in Brockton will be held in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
