Mr. Thomas L. Downs, a resident of Andover formerly of Chelmsford, passed away at his home in Andover on Tuesday evening, January 11, 2022. He was 59 years old.
Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on March 2, 1962, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas L. and Florence (Kelly) Downs. Mr. Downs worked as a Carpenter, for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed military antiques and American history. He will be dearly missed.
Thomas is survived by children Heather Downs of Fall River, Amanda Dyer and her husband, Timothy, of South Carolina, his grandchildren, Talia and Brayden Haggerty of Woburn, his loving brother and sister-in-law; Robert W. and his wife Susan M. Downs of Chelmsford, nieces; Laura and her husband Joseph Goodwin, Alicia Marie Downs and her partner; Michael Constantine, Alicia and her husband Luis Colon, Rebecca and her husband Jordan Silva; his Aunt and Uncle; Pauline and Ed Elmore of Kentucky; his nephews, cousins and extended family.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in the Heart Pond Cemetery in Chelmsford.
