Edward F. "Papa" Belforte, 92 of Medford died Sunday after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford, MA.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, he lived in Medford for over 50 years and was the son of the late Josephine (Russo) and Iorio Belforte. Edward was a Shipper/Receiver, at the former Atwell and Lanier Co. in Cambridge for 7 years and retired in 1986. He preveriously worked for the former United Farmers in Charlestown delivering milk for many years and was known as the “Singing Milkman”.
Mr. Belforte was an Usher at St. Clement Church for over 50 years.
Beloved husband of the late Maree (Canzanelli) Belforte. Devoted father of Edward L. Belforte and his wife Patricia of Medford. Loving grandfather of William and Victoria Belforte.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
