Orrin J. Moses of North Hill Needham a retired engineer died on Sat Apr. 22, 2006. He was 93.
Born in Farmington CT, he had lived in Needham for many years. He graduated from RPI in 1934 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Hartford Electric Light Co., Lynn Gas & Electric ad had retired from Factory Mutual Research Corp after more than 30 years. He served with the U.S. navy during WW II and was discharged from the reserves as a Lt. JG. He was a longtime member of Golden Fleece Lodge AF & AM of Lynn. He had served as a deacon of the Central Congregational Church in Lynn and the Needham Congregational Church. He was a member of the Needham Retired Men’s Club, and had volunteered at the Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham for many years and was active at the Needham Senior Center. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, playing bridge and was an avid baseball fan.
Husband of the late Ruth (Staples) Moses, he is survived by his daughters and son, Donna Legare of Calais VT, Dale Gordon of Charleston SC, and Dr. Orrin Douglas Moses of Monterey CA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
A graveside service will be held on Thurs Apr 27 at 11 AM at Needham Cemetery, Nehoiden St. Needham.
