Obituary

James A. Eldeb Jr, affectionately known as “Big Jim”, passed unexpectedly on January 5, 2022.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Paola Eldeb. He had four children: Jennifer Eldeb Greco, James A. Eldeb III., Christopher Eldeb, and Kaitlyn Eldeb Cotter. He had five grandchildren: Bobby and John Greco, Patrick and Matthew Cotter, and Charlie Eldeb. Big Jim grew up in Hanson. During his teenage years he was an active member of the Rockland Grange enjoying agriculture activities. He served two years with the Army National Guard.

He retired from Amtrak after 35 years of working as a Chief Mechanic. After he retired he got on his motorcycle and enjoyed riding all over with the “Old Farts” motorcycle club and other motorcycle clubs around New England and other states.

He fulfilled his dream of retiring and moving to live in upper Northern New Hampshire with his wife Debra where they travelled around New England on his bike spring, summer and fall. In the winter months Jim and Debbie enjoyed their snowmobile and snuggling in for those cold winter days and nights. All year long he and Debbie would periodically come home to be with his family and grandkids and to visit his friends.

He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Hisl services will be held on Tuesday, January 11th from 1-3, followed by a funeral service at 3:00PM. Burial will be at a later date.
