Michael Watson, 59 of Sugar Grove, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Grove City, Ohio.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment will be private.
Mr. Watson was born September 13, 1962, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Archie Watson and the late Velma Young Watson. He was a 1981 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. From an early age Michael had a great love for the outdoors and became an avid hunter and fisherman. Even though he'd rather be in the woods or on a boat, he began a 30 year career in the power industry as journeyman lineman and ended his career as a safety coordinator. Upon retirement from the power industry, he opened Trelle's End Taxidermy with his wife where he spent his final years doing what he loved most.
He is survived by his wife, Latrelle Watson of Sugar Grove, Ohio; children: Meghann Clark, Anna Watson, and Caleb Watson; and two brothers: David & Shirley Watson of Fitzgerald and Mark Watson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Williams and a brother, Billy Watson.
