Henry Warren Bostick, Sr., 83, of Tifton, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist
Church of Tifton Sanctuary with burial to follow in Oakridge Cemetery. Grandsons Jed Bostick Branch, Ryan Branch, Ken Dunn, Brad Dunn, Michael Moore and Ware Bostick will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson.
Mr. Bostick was born on November 22, 1922 in Ware County (Waycross), Georgia and was the son of Hinton Bostick and Florene Musselwhite Bostick, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a son, Henry Warren (Hank) Bostick, who died November 30, 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tifton, a local attorney, and was a former Georgia Representative, having served for 26 years in the legislature. He was the VFW Post 5250 commander and a member of the Bar Association. He had lived in Tifton since 1928.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Turner Bostick of Tifton; one son, Mike Bostick of Tifton; three daughters, Cindy Bostick of England, Pat Dunn of Tifton and Joy Branch of Chula; one daughter-in-law, Tami King of Tifton; eight grandchildren, Jed Bostick Branch, Ryan Branch, Ken Dunn, Brad Dunn, Michael Moore, Kirbi Bostick, Nan Bostick and Ware Bostick; and three great grandchildren, Patrick Dunn, Jackson Dunn and Betsy Branch.
