WORCESTER___Marcelle A. (Kiela) Bierch, 96, “Babci” of Worcester, died Friday April 21 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband of 63 years, Theodore S. Bierch, Sr., died in 1998.
She leaves two sons, Theodore S. Bierch, Jr, and his wife Alice of Harlingen, Tx, and Brendan V. Bierch and his wife Phyllis of Grafton; seven grandchildren, Michael Bierch of Rockport; Monique Cloutier of Colorado Springs, Co, Christine Wallace of Jacksonville, Fl, Paul Bierch, Andrea Boutiette and Stephanie Bierch all of Worcester and Amy Melisi of Oxford; ten great-grandchildren, Christopher Bierch, Nickolas Cloutier and Marissa Cloutier, all of Colorado Springs; Stephanie Wallace of Jacksonville; Dominic Boutiette, Jr, Kataryna Boutiette, Joseph Kiley and Megan Kiley all of Worcester and Joseph Melisi and Jonathan Melisi both of Oxford. She was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Nicole. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of John and Agatha (Pigagga) Kiela and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Bierch was a cafeteria worker several years for the Worcester Public Schools and retired in 1972. Before then she worked for the Worcester Knitting Co., and the Frank H. Pfeiffer Co. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and its Womens Guild and was a member of the Lithuanian Womens Club, the Worcester Emblem Club, the Polish National Alliance, the Polish Naturalization and Independent Club and was active with and an advisory board member of the Worcester Senior Center. Marcelle’s greatest joy was her family she loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Thursday April 27 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
