Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Francis, 70, of Ojai, CA, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on December 29, 2021, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. Kathy, along with her mother Patricia, was the proud owner of the Kindred Spirit boutique in Ojai for over 30 years. She was a major contributor to Ojai downtown commerce for locals and visitors alike. Kathy had a generous heart. Many of her friends enjoyed her Tuesday pot luck gatherings, birthday celebrations, and holiday feasts. She loved animals and adopted many cats from the Ojai animal shelter.
Kathy is survived by her sister, Sue Francis, and brother-in-law, Cecil Baumgartner. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Humane Society of Ventura County in Ojai. The family grateful for all the care and support from Kathy’s friends and the staff of Cottage Hospital.
