LIMINGTON- James E. Scarponi, (Jim), age 82, of Limington, Maine formerly of Lynn, MA passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021. Born and raised in Lynn he was the son of the late Louis and Virginia Scarponi. Jim was a master electrician by trade and a proud member of the IBEW Local 103 for over 40+ years. He was an avid hunter and loved the State of Maine where he moved to in the late 80’s. Jim loved attending Reunions with his Union brothers across the country, loved playing cribbage, solitaire on the computer and loved working in his garage but most of all he loved having his children and grandchildren visit. Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia, his six (6) daughters, Kathie Wentzell, Karen Sanecchiaro and her husband, Robert, Joann Scarponi, Julie Curley and her husband, Sean, Kristina Scarponi and Jennifer Scarponi. Nine (9) grandchildren Lauren, Meaghan, Patrick, RJ, James, Sean, Joey, Brittney, and Zachary, six (6) great grandchildren, Caitlin, William, Natalie, Audrey, Elaina and Wyatt, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was also predeceased by his brother, Bruce and his beloved grandson, Ryan and granddaughter, Cassandra whom he missed every day.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Jan. 6 from 2 - 4 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Catholic funeral rites will be performed at the conclusion of the viewing.
