Donald L. Gemberling passed away in Fishers, Indiana on December 28, 2021, following an extended illness. He was surrounded by his family.
He was born in Anderson, Indiana on April 21, 1951, to Warren and Mary Jane (Cleaver) Gemberling.
He was a 1969 graduate of Madison Heights High School in Anderson, Indiana and a 1974 graduate of the Purdue University College of Pharmacy. He worked for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Indiana and later found an interest in computers. After working on a Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, he transitioned to a new career as a Software Engineer for Ontario Systems in Muncie, Indiana.
He is survived by Mary (Oemler) Gemberling, his sons, Matthew (Kristina) Gemberling and Bradley (Erynne) Gemberling, his grandson, Ian Gemberling, his sister, Gloria (Tom) Fitzsimmons and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
