Obituary

Anna (Casey) Adams entered heaven on Dec. 29, 2021. She died peacefully at her home in Mission Hill surrounded by her family. Born in Jamaica Plain, she lived in Mission Hill most of her life and graduated from Mission Church High School in 1953. An unsung hero who was as kind as she was generous, Anna never turned away anyone in need. She had a great laugh, and an uncanny memory for dates. Above all, she loved her family. She was a loving mother to Anne “Nancy” & husband Michael Geary of West Roxbury, Frederick Adams & wife Heidi of West Roxbury, Daniel Adams & wife Stacie of Roslindale, Elaine Adams, Laura Adams & Maureen Adams, all of Mission Hill, and many others who called her Mom. She is survived by five grandchildren, Tracee Geary and fiancé Chris Vega, Michael Geary, Christian Adams, Connor Adams & Rachel Adams; two great-grandchildren, Brycen & Savannah Vega; many nieces & nephews, including John, Robert, Vanessa & Tess Parks; dear friend Katherine A. Garrity of Malden; and many cousins & friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Adams; two daughters, Tracee and Margaret Isabel; her sister, Theresa Parks; her niece, Karynn Parks; and her parents, John & Margaret (Culkin) Casey. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday, January 4th at 8:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Boston’s Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “Mission Church” at 10 o'clock. Visiting hours Monday from 3-7pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30pm. Reception to follow at the Boston Police Emerald Society, 10 Birch St. Roslindale at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please lend a hand to someone in need.
