Obituary



Kevin Thomas Sullivan, 56, of Rutland died Monday, December 27th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his loving wife of 32 years, Margaret M. (Malloy) Sullivan; his children, Kevin Sullivan and his wife, Ashleigh of Warwick, RI, Jennifer Sullivan and her fiancé, Sean Goehle of Hubbardston, Timothy Sullivan and his fiancé, Casey Demers of Quincy, Laura Sullivan and her fiancé, Jake Slezik of Sterling and Kristen Sullivan and her boyfriend, T.J. Walsh of Rutland; his faithful four legged companion, his dog, Rosie; and his siblings, John Sullivan and his wife, Nancy of Phillipston, Paul Sullivan and his wife, Susan of Vero Beach, FL, David Sullivan and his wife, Debra of Sutton, Robert Sullivan and his wife Elizabeth of Granby, CT, Daniel Sullivan of Worcester, Beth Shea and her husband, James and Marianne Griffiths and her husband, Scott, all of Leicester. He also leaves his two grandchildren, Reagan and Landon; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was born in Worcester the son of John F. “Bud” Sullivan, Jr. and Mary (Shannon) Sullivan and graduated from Leicester High School. Kevin was a successful owner of Sullivan Builders where he took pride in his craftsmanship as a carpenter. He was a devout Patriots fan and enjoyed spending his time watching games in his Patriots room with family & friends, golfing, listening to music, playing his guitar, singing and riding roller coasters with his children. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and the families’ vacations at Cape Cod. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. He was also a member of the West Rutland Yacht Club where true friendship was found. Kevin was the life of the party and always the first one on the dance floor.
His funeral is Monday, January 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, January 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Masks are required.
