Obituary

AMHERST - Mary Lou Trow, 86, a longtime resident of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Daybrook Village in Holyoke. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on February 7, 1935, the beloved daughter of the late Louis E. Trow, Sr. and Mary A. (Landers) Trow. She furthered her education and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, the New York Hospital and the Sloan Kettering Clinic. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Her family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Staff of Daybrook Village in Holyoke for their compassionate care of Mary Lou and the staff of Beacon Hospice for the end of life care they provided to Mary Lou. She leaves her dear sister, Beverly Armstrong of Knoxville, TN; her dear brother, Frederick Pelletier of West Springfield; and her many dear extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three dear brothers, Robert, Louis and Bernard Trow. Her Funeral Services and Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours.
