Obituary

BROWNFIELD- Steven “Stevie”, “Scuba Steve”, Anthony Valente Jr., age 47, passed away on December 26th, 2021, in Lewiston, surrounded by friends and family after battling complications from pneumonia.
He was born in Portland, Maine on August 28th, 1974, a son of Steven Valente Sr. and Patricia (Cobb) Rodreguez.
Steven worked as a full time Auto Mechanic for many years before joining his father's business at Bullet Construction, INC laying and finishing concrete floors. He loved to spend time fishing, snowmobiling, taking rides on his motorcycle and was an avid softball and cornhole player. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was always up to having a good time and causing a bit of trouble. He looked forward to trying new things, having new adventures and taking vacations to Florida. Most of all he enjoyed spending time and making memories with his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. His ability to crack a joke and make you laugh will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Jennifer Cobb and Alexia Valente; and his stepmother Sherry Valente.
Surviving are his beloved girlfriend Melissa Hatch; her daughters Emily and Hannah of Brownfield; his mother, Patricia Rodreguez and husband Neris of Limington; his father Steven Valente Sr. of Hiram; his children Zackery Valente and girlfriend, Dana Milburn of Waterville, Jordan Valente and wife, Samantha of Virginia, Gavin Valente of Portland, Baylee Valente of Pittsfield, Anthony Athearn and girlfriend Dani Marie of Waldoboro; his sisters, Jessica Cobb and husband, Arturo of Westbrook, Adrianna Hand and husband, Ryan of Hiram, Victoria Valente of Hiram, Rosalina Rodreguez and girlfriend Kelly Foley of New Hampshire, Adrianna Rodreguez of Biddeford; his grandsons Beckham and Kasent; his granddaughter Lillith. Also 14 nieces and nephews; and a large loving extended family and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday Jan. 1st, from 2 - 4 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home website, www.mainefuneral.com
