Obituary

PORTER- Judy Ruth Gilpatric went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 21 due to COVID-19.

Judy was born in Porter at her parent’s home to the late William and Evelyn Mason Sr. Judy leaves behind her siblings: Trudy Teele of Porter, Jane Stacey of Porter, and William Mason Jr also of Porter. In highschool Judy met her husband, Pastor David Gilpatric, and settled down to raise four children: Adam Gilpatric, Andrew Gilpatric, Aaron Gilpatric, and Anna McCann. She also leaves behind their spouses: Rebecca Gilpatric, Bethany Gilpatric, and Seth McCann; and her grandchildren: Mason Gilpatric (8), Eden Gilpatric (7), Mae McCann (6), and Aubrey McCann (4).

As a young woman Judy worked at ITT in Kezar Falls and was very proud of her new Mustang, one of the first ones in the town. In later years she worked at Head Start in Parsonsfield and delivered mail in Porter. Most recently she volunteered at the local elementary school reading to children. Her hobbies included picking wild berries, cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, and using them to make baked treats for family and friends. She was very active in her church community and loved to make food to share with her church family during fellowship.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Poitras, Neal & York Funeral home, Cornish. A graveside service will be held at the Kezar Falls Burial Ground on Saturday, May 21st at 4pm.
