LOWELL—Catherine A. (Kirane) Lesniak, 62 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday afternoon at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Lowell, on July 24, 1943, a daughter of the late George R. and Catherine (Knox) Kirane, and was a graduate of St. Michael’s Grammar School and Lowell High School.
Mrs. Lesniak had been employed for over 15 years as a Supervisor by Bard Technologies, of Haverhill. She previously worked as a Unit Secretary at the former St. John’s Hospital, in Lowell.
Surviving her are her children and their spouses: William C. and Laura Lesniak, of Chelmsford; Kathleen and Robert Smart, of Lowell; and Jeffrey A. and Kerry Lesniak, of Lowell; seven grandchildren: Kristin, Michelle, Erin, and Sean Lesniak; and Christopher, Jennifer and Brandon Smart; two brothers: George Kirane, of Lowell; and Daniel Kirane, of Port Richie, FL; three sisters: Georgia Therrien, of Lowell; Phyllis Daley, of Chelmsford; and Mary Ellen Garneau, of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, April 23rd, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, April 24th, at 9 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
