Obituary

In loving memory of Lindsay Herman Wiles of Falmouth Maine who passed away on December 17, 2021.

Lindsay was born in Port Washington New York on June 18, 1935, to Kathryn Lola and Lindsay Herman Wiles Sr. He graduated from Port Washington High School where he was a varsity athlete in basketball, football, and baseball and was recruited by the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Lindsay served in the Army, and after his discharge he worked for Grumman Aerospace then worked for Craft Architectural Metals until his retirement.
Lindsay married Joyce Goodoff in 1958 and had three daughters.
He and Joy had a lifelong connection to Maine through her family and their love for their camp on Roxbury Pond.
Lindsay loved his family, his pets, and enjoyed working on projects around the camp.
He was a craftsman and a perfectionist. He was a wonderful and loving husband and a terrific Dad.
He was predeceased by his wife Joy.
He is survived by his daughter Tracey Wiles and her husband Donald Lafayette, Meredith Wiles and Holly Wiles; his grandchildren Wesley and his partner Eve, Hillary, Madison, Christian, and Merial; and his great granddaughter Juniper.
Lindsay's charm, his smile, and his kindness will be greatly missed.
