Obituary

Joseph F. Brown of Esmond Village, Smithfield, RI, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
He was the husband of the late Joanna F. (Colliano) Brown.
Born in Milford, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Flora (Lameroux) Brown. He had lived in North Providence before moving to Smithfield and had wintered in Sarasota, Florida.
Mr. Brown had been a lithographer for the former Livermore and Knight Company, retiring in 1972. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. An active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Council, North Providence, he was a former Master of the Fourth Degree, former District Deputy of the RI State Council, Past Grand Knight, former Faithful Navigator and Degree and Ceremonial Chairman. Mr. Brown was also an avid golfer. As part of his love for the sport, he served as a ranger at Melody Hill Golf Course in Harmony, RI, for many years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Wayne E. Riendeau of Lincoln, three grandsons, Wayne Matthew, Adam Brown, and Benjamin Joseph Riendeau and his beloved companion, Annette Smith.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation Sunday 4-7p.m.
