New Bedford – Hazel A. Britto, age 72, of New Bedford passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Alan J. Britto.
Hazel was born in New Bedford and was the loved daughter of Hermano dePina and Stella (Barboza) dePina. She had been an Office Administrator for Com Electric for many years. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed getting her hair and nails done.
Hazel is survived by her loving husband, Alan J. Britto; 2 children, Aaron Britto and Monique Britto; grandchildren, Tyray Still, Trinity Still, Arianne Still, Laron Britto, Letrell Britto, Larell Britto, Treanna Britto and Isiah Britto; step-grandchildren, Ava Martin, Layla Martin and Julian Martin and Chris Young. She is also survived by her brother, Robert DePina; her godmother and aunt, Laura Baptiste; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her late brothers, Stanley dePina and Hermano dePina.
Hazel’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Visiting Hours will take place at Perry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Martyr Church at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
