Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Roche Mysliwiec January 22,1948 – December 12, 2021

Elizabeth Ann Roche Mysliwiec passed away peacefully at home on December 12th, 2021 surrounded by family. She was known by those who loved her dearly as Betty Ann, Bets, Mom, Ma, Liz, and Lanma.

Bets leaves her beloved husband, André, with whom she shared a friendship of 54 years and a marriage of 51 years. She leaves her beloved children, Aaron and Danielle Mysliwiec, who gave her a lifetime of cherished memories. She also leaves her beloved son-in-law, Casey Johnston, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Alexis Pisciotta, with whom she shared so many wonderful conversations and pleasurable hours.

Lanma, as her grandchildren called her, leaves her fun-loving, creative, curious, and entertaining grandchildren, Ellis, Leo, Uma, Zoe, and Lila who made her laugh and feel happy when she was with them and when she thought of them. They made her vacations in Ogunquit, Maine, the highlight of her year. She had so much fun with them at the beach, at the pool, and walking The Marginal Way where they liked to run ahead and hide and then jump out and scare her! Perkins Cove Candies was a favorite outing!

Bets leaves her dear brother, Jack, and her dear sisters and their husbands, Sheila and Fran, Veronica and Brent, Maggie and Thomas, Patty, Theresa and David, Cindy, and Jeanne and Ron as well as her sisters and brothers and their spouses on Andre's side of the family. She leaves Eva, Marianne and Jack, Annette, Rychard and Mary Jo, Pierre and Barbara, Jean-Louis and Linda, Paul, Laura, and Trisha and Archie. She also leaves Marika, Leo’s wonderful, loving mother. She enjoyed so many memorable family gatherings with all of these people. She loved her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves two well-loved uncles, Charlie Jacobs and Jack Lilley.

Bets/Liz was given the gift of close friends with whom she shared good times and a lot of laughter and to whom she turned to for R&R, comfort, and support. She was lucky to have not only her children, Aaron and Danielle, in her life but so many other children she loved and took care of over the 42 years of her career. Aaron and Danielle and all the children shared her love of the lake, of playing in the snow, building snowmen and snow forts, of making holiday cookies, playing games, and celebrating all the kids' birthdays with a special cake she decorated for each and every child. Liz loved the children's parents and they too became friends and family over the years.

Elizabeth Ann Roche Mysliwiec experienced a warm, loving life filled with family, good friends, peace and happiness and that is what she wished for those she leaves behind.
