Clifford Marion Baggett, age 86 of Water Valley, MS passed away on April 20, 2006 in the Yalobusha County Nursing Home. A member of Mt Liberty Church, he was a retired owner-operator for Baggett Trucking. He also liked being a "handy man" and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Forest Poindexter officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers are; Richard Gurner, Eric Johnson, James Wells,Jr, Kris Johnson, Jesse Rodriguez and Brian Casey.
Survivors include, his wife, Audrey (Jean) Baggett of Water Valley, MS: daughter, Barbara Close of Lone Jack, MO and step-daughters Deborah Johnson of Chicago Heights, IL and Kathryn Wells of Oxford, MS; sister, Francis Conners of Crete, IL; foster-sister, Violet Parks of Homewood, IL; eight grandchildren, Renee Sterling, Kevin Close, Angel Sanders, Kris Johnson, Andrea Gurner, Amanda Casey, Kayla Atkinson and James Wells III : seven great grandchildren, Cory, Marriah, and Isabella Sterling, Anna Sanders, Kristen, Summer and Jayden Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Finnely Marion Baggett and Lida Mae Smith Baggett and his foster mother, Victoria Persiani.
