Obituary

Ronald Gerald Bennett, 79, longtime Prosser resident, passed away on December 1, 2021 in Summerlin, Nevada.
He was born on May 8, 1942 in Spokane to John and Geneva Bennett. He was raised and educated in Prosser and graduated with the Prosser High School Class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1969.
Ron married his sweetheart, Bertha Dullum on September 5, 1964 in Prosser where they raised their family. He owned and operated Bennett Roller Rink, youth center, snack bar and video game room for many years until retiring in 2004. Ron provided entertainment for kids in the community who needed a place to go and his impact on the community over the years was substantial.
He is survived by his wife fifty-seven years, Bertha of Pahrump, NV; his daughters, Pamela Bennett of Union Gap, Laurie (Brett) Boyd of Granite Falls, Tina (Garry) Randles of Pahrump, NV and Krista (David) Bogard of Los Angeles, CA; his sister, Cobina Bennett of Prosser; his grandchildren, James Leidig, Ashley Fisher, Raf Bennett, Jaime Bennett and Morgan Roper; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 10th at Prosser Funeral Home. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
