CORNISH- Jerry D. Blasingim, age 53, husband of Amy (Parslow) Blasingim, passed away at his home on Nov. 30, 2021.
CORNISH – Jerry Dwayne Blasingim, age 53, passed away on November 30, 2021, unexpectedly at his home.
He was born in San Jose, California on October 10, 1968, a son of the late Jerry Blasingim Sr., and the late Charlene Blasingim.
After graduating from Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio he entered the United States Army Corps of Engineers and served in Iraq immediately after the fall of Saddam Hussein.
On August 25, 2011, Jerry married Amy Lynn Parslow Brann in Augusta, Maine where they resided for eight years.
Jerry was a cook by trade. His last place of employment was the Back Burner Restaurant in Brownfield, Maine.
Jerry’s passions were Billboard Top 100’s, a fervent history buff, and a love of his support animal, Dusty.
Jerry is survived by his brother, Shawn and his wife, Kristie, and a brother Michael and wife Melani, and many nieces and nephews on his side of the family. He is also survived by his wife, Amy, his step-daughter Ariane Frechette and her husband, Josh, and grandson, Zeke, step-daughter Adria Lashon and husband Jake, and step-son Andrew Brann.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road, Buxton. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Buxton Center Baptist Church. Online condolence messages may be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com.
