Carlos R. Horta, a resident of Malden and formerly of Brazil, entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 52 years of age.
Carlos was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on May 25, 1969, the only child of Geraldo L. Horta and Lourdes A. (DaSilva) Horta. He grew up in Brazil where he was educated there and immigrated to the United States in 2000. He left Brazil for a better life in the U.S. He was very loyal, protective, and loving to the ones closest to him. He would have your back no matter what. Carlos' pet cat Doida was his favorite thing in this world. He didn't care much for cats until he got her. He said he loved her the most because she doesn't talk. Carlos had a great sense of humor, and always made his wife laugh and smile. People always noticed when he walked in a room. Carlos had been working as a Truck Driver for a local trucking company. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and driving fast cars in his spare time. Carlos was a very loyal family man and friend to those he loved.
Carlos is the devoted husband of 11 years to Jennifer Pennucci. He is the beloved son of Geraldo L. Horta and Lourdes A. (DaSilva) Horta. He is also survived by his beloved cat Doida and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Carlos on Saturday afternoon, December 4, 2021 from 1 P.M to 5 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
