Sweeney II. Brother of Elaine Pagels and her husband Robert, Sharon Sweeney and her husband Charles Nilles, Jerry Sweeney and his wife Jean, Laura Michicich and her husband Gary, all of Illinois. Son in law of Patricia M. Croke and the late Robert of Marshfield. Brother in law of Christopher Croke & Mary Karen O'Neill, Robert Croke, Kevin Croke and Judy, Timothy Croke and C.J. Coughlin, Eileen Dee and John, the late Mark Croke and Peggy, and the late Daniel Croke & Gail. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his children in Yarmouthport, Brandon, Katherine & Jordan Sweeney.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St, Rt 139, MARSHFIELD, Friday at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St Ann’s By The Sea Church at 10:00 AM.

OBITUARY:
James J. (Jim) Sweeney III, age 47, passed away April 17, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was a loving husband and best friend to Elizabeth (Biz), nee Croke, and a proud, loving father and playmate to his beautiful daughter, Jenna, age 4.
Jim filled his life with great stories. He created memories for his family and friends, who mourn the loss of a “one-of-a-kind” person. Jimmy had a unique sense of humor that endeared him to all who met him. His many, many friends came from all walks of life and held a very special place in Jim’s heart.
Jim taught all those who were part of his life that humor will carry you through all the good times and bad. Even through illness, Jim maintained his sense of humor and had his family, friends, doctors and nurses laughing. Throughout his illness, Jim’s humor, dignity, and sense of caring for others was first and foremost and reflected how he lived and died.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lucy (Ron) Hilt and father James J. Sweeney II, sister Elaine (Robert) Pagels, Sharon Sweeney (Charles) Nilles, Jerry (Jean) Sweeney, and Laura (Gary) Michicich. His wonderful in-laws include Patricia and the late Robert Croke, the late Mark (Peggy) Croke, Christopher (Mary) Croke, the late Dan (Gail) Croke, Karen O’Neill, Robert Croke, Kevin (Judy) Croke, Timothy (CJ Coughlin) Croke, Eileen (John) Dee. In addition to his brothers and sisters, Jim has left behind many loving nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly, including Brita, Lea, Jon and Cara Pagels, Graham Nilles, Jared, Allison and Liam Sweeney, Megan and Cait Michicich, David and Sarah Croke, Thomas and Katherine Croke, Christian Croke, Michael O’Neill, Erin, Meghan, and Danielle Croke, R.J. and MacKenzie Dee.
In addition to daughter Jenna, Jim had three children, Brandon, Katie, and Jordan Sweeney of Yarmouth Port, MA.
