Phyllis M. Carpinella, 79, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston on Tuesday morning, April 18, at the age of 79. She was the wife of Michael J. Carpinella.
Born in Medford she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Sacco) and Frank Cangiano. She was raised in Medford and atended Medford Schools. She has been a resident of Woburn since 1957. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and she was particularly devoted to her grandchildren.
Along with her husband she is survived by her son Michael J. Jr. and his wife Wanda of Woburn and her daughter Antonette Lovejoy and her husband Michael of Omaha, Nebraska. Four loving grandchildren Michael and Diana Lovejoy, Philip and Joseph Carpinella. Two sisters, Helen Alpers and Florence Carpenito both of Medford. Three brothers, Frank Cangiano of Arlington, Albert and Thomas Cangiano of Medford.
She is predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Emanuel, Ernest and George Cangiano.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
