WORCESTER___Peter F. Sena, 87, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Newton – Wellesley Hospital. His wife of 65 years, JoAnne M. (Wedder) Sena passed away seven months ago on April 7, 2021.
He leaves his children, Gina M. Richard and her husband Charles R., of St. Augustine, Fl., Brenda A, Tomasetta and her husband, Wayne F. of Worcester; Kenneth J. Sena and his wife, Rosemary of Baldwinville and Peter J. Sena and his wife, Tasha of Worcester; his grandchildren, Russell, Joshua, Jamey and Theresa, Jacob, Nick and Kaitlan, Faith, Kenneth II, Melissa, Tatjana and Tayla, his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jaina, Kelsey, Cam and Mia, two brothers, Francis X. Sena and his wife Janice and John J. Sena and his wife Paula all of Worcester and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jessica and by a brother and sister, James Sena of California and Carol Sturchio of Connecticut. Peter was born in Worcester, a son of the late James A. and Rose (Marchese) Sena and has lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of the former Commerce High School.
Mr. Sena was a licensed Barber. He started on Grafton hill in 1951 at Ralph’s Barbershop. He purchased Ralph’s Barbershop and turned it into Sena’s Barbershop in 1953. He continued to work part time alongside his daughter Brenda before retiring two years ago at the age of 85. Mr. Sena worked as an auditor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Employees Retirement System. He worked there 27 years before he retired. Peter was a member of St. Joseph Church at Holy Family Parish and was a longtime member of the Democratic City Committee.

Mr. Sena’s Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 6, 2021 in DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. Memorial calling hours will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. – the time of the service on Monday, December 6, 2021 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter’s memory may be made to St. Bernard Church, Our Lady of Providence Parish Youth Group, 236 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Ma., 01605.
