Worcester—Ernest E. LaMarche, 93, formerly of Indiana St, died, Sunday, April 15, 2006 at Notre Dame LTCC. He leaves his wife of 72 years, Elizabeth M; a daughter, Corinne E. Frier of Beaverton, OR; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nephews & nieces. A son, Robert E. and 2 brothers and 2 sisters predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Adelard and Eva (Mathieu) LaMarche. As a child, he was an alter boy at Notre Dame Church. During WWII, Mr. LaMarche was a machinist at Heald Machine. He retired in 1974 after 30 years of service from the Worcester Fire Dept., where he also sang in the Worcester Firemen’s Choir and was a member of the Firemen’s Relief Assn. He was a member of the Heald Machine Bowling Team. Ernest was first and foremost a family man. He left school in 6th grade to provide for his mother and 4 siblings. Funeral Services, 11:00 a.m. May 10, Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
