Richard P. Walsh of Needham died April 16, 2006 at the North Hill Skilled Nursing Facility in Needham. He was 95. Mr. Walsh was the son of the late Richard and Mary Walsh. He has lived in Needham since 1940 and worked as a Production Manager for the Fireman Fund Insurance Company of America.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Marie (McAllister) Walsh. He was the devoted father of Mary Ann Tosi of Norwood, E. Sharon Walsh of Ashland, Richard Walsh of Needham, Maura Jayne Wright of Atlanta, GA and Rita Marie Stellato of Mattapoisett. Grandfather of Christian A. Tosi, Liam O. Walsh, Patrick R. Walsh, Darragh E. Wright, Charles M. Wright, M. Isabelle Wright, Michael J. Stellato and Collin R. Stellato. Great grandfather of Carmen Tosi.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
