Cesar J. Chekijian, a retired corporate real estate professional, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021, age 75. Born in Beirut, Lebanon to Jack and Siran (Kazanjian) Chekijian, he graduated from University of London. He worked for Tenneco and Warner Lambert and began at Manufacturers Hanover in 1982, where he became Senior Vice President in real estate. He married Barbara (DeSario) Chekijian on October 1, 1978. They had three children, Jack, Derek and Scott. He lived and raised his children in Livingston, New Jersey. The eldest of four children, he was predeceased by brother Hrach and survived by sisters Araxi and Silva. He leaves many loving nieces and nephews. After early retirement, he continued serving on boards of several companies and reveled in researching and exploring the family’s ancestry and history. He was very active in Armenian-American issues and pursued his love of travel. He was a caring father and advisor to family and friends. A private interment is to take place in Massachusetts.
