Richard P. Ronan, 79 of Derry, NH, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. Mr. Ronan was born in Boston, MA on January 8, 1927, a son of the late Edward and Blanche (White) Ronan. He was a recent resident of Derry, formerly living in Plymouth, MA for 25 years. He attended Northeastern University. Mr. Ronan worked as a manager for Dewey and Almy in Cambridge, MA and Acton, MA and later as manager for Grace Chemical, also in Acton. In 1973 he franchised a Lil Peach store in N. Reading, MA and later owned Kingston Supermarket in Kingston, MA, retiring in 1996. He was a family man who enjoyed baseball, especially the Red Sox and had also been a professional pool player.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine L. (Cassidy) Ronan of Derry, a daughter, Linda Fuller of Plymouth, MA, a son, Paul Ronan of Derry, five grandchildren, Daniel and Steven Ronan, Jessica, Matthew and Allyson Colanino, a brother, Stanley Kingston of Boston and a nephew, Kevin Keane of Lowell, MA. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Keane.
Calling hours were from 4-7pm, Wednesday, April 19th, 2006 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 7:00pm in the funeral home.
