FALL RIVER… Benito Rivera, Jr., 77, of Fall River passed away, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Benito, Sr., and Anna (Valentine) Rivera and had lived most of his life in Fall River.
Mr. Rivera was a forklift operator at the former Arkwright Finishing in Fall River.
Benito enjoyed collecting cast cars and Lionel Trains.
Survivors include his sons: Joseph Rivera of Carrollton, GA & Robert Rivera of Fall River, MA; his brothers: Pablo Rivera of Florida & Robert Rivera of Fall River; his sisters: Felicita Melendez & Lydia Sotomayor, both of Fall River, Gladys Martinez of Florida, Annie Citron Annette Dupras & Aidee Rivera, all of Fall River, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews; He was the father of the late Michael Rivera and the brother of the late Abraham Rivera.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA at 11:00 A.M. following calling hours from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
