Richard R. Berthelette, Jr., age 38, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Lisa R. (Peach) Berthelette, to whom he was wed for ten years.
Born in Nantucket, MA on February 16, 1983, he was a loving son of Roberta A. (Borges) Berthelette of Norton and the late Richard R. Berthelette, Sr.
Richie grew up on Nantucket, was educated in Nantucket and Taunton and was a 2001 graduate of the Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School in Taunton.
Richie had worked as an Auto Damage Appraiser for Liberty Mutual Insurance and previously for Travelers Insurance. He also took great pride in his work as the owner of Berthelette Remodeling.
A resident of Norton for the past fifteen years, along with family was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton. His favorite times by far were those spent with his adoring family and friends. Richie was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing softball, golfing, the Patriots and hunting and fishing. He also received much pleasure in helping others with his skills and knowledge in building and fixing-it-up projects.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his treasured twin daughters Courtney B. Berthelette and Kate O. Berthelette. He was the dear brother of Rachael M. Berthelette of Somerset. He was the cherished son-in-law of Ron and Valerie (Bentley) Peach of Rowley and the brother-in-law of Christopher Peach of Rowley. He is also survived by many loving cousins, including Lisa and Greg Rugg of Taunton, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 15th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 16th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will be held privately at the Rowley Burial Ground in Rowley.
